About the Symbol: In the year 765 AH, a key was forged for a door that opens only for the chosen. Sultan Al-Ashraf Sha'ban commissioned it in copper inlaid with silver, its four faces engraved with verses from Surah Al-Fath in Mamluk script. The key traveled from Cairo to Makkah and rests today in the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo — the oldest surviving Ka'aba Key in existence. Romnah shaped its form. Not a replica. A revival.
